Raymor will Offer Various High Purity Grades of Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes for Emerging Markets in the Second Quarter of 200

BOISBRIAND, QUEBEC -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 03/29/07 -- Raymor Industries Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RAR), a leading developer and producer of single-walled carbon nanotubes, nanomaterials and advanced materials, is proud to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Raymor Nanotech will begin to offer in the second quarter of 2007 various high purity grades of single-walled carbon nanotubes (C-SWNT) for emerging markets. To achieve this, Raymor Nanotech launched its Purification department in 2006. This department was formed to develop various grades of C-SWNT to rapidly penetrate new markets for applications such as polymer nanocomposite enhancement, batteries/electrodes, supercapacitors, filters, electromagnetic interference shielding, catalyst support, field emission devices, sensors/probes, biomedical devices and nanoelectronic devices. The primary market for Raymor's mass-produced C-SWNT products is the aerospace and aeronautical sector, which has been in development since 2006. Results to date from this sector continue to be very positive with respect to the evaluation of our C-SWNT, and the introduction of various C-SWNT grades will only enhance this position.

Raymor Nanotech's Purification department has developed a gas-phase technique to purify C-SWNT produced from Raymor's plasma-based continuous process. This approach preserves the unique macroscopic structure of Raymor's C-SWNT, while almost completely removing all of the metal and amorphous carbon content.

Frederic Larouche, Director of Production at Raymor Nanotech, and co-inventor of the technology, had the following to say:

"This purification technique provides Raymor with an opportunity to offer differentiated grades of product to respond to growing and pressing needs from our customers. Our client base will now be able to choose a C-SWNT grade which is appropriate for their new, high value-added applications. These new grades will lead to the rapid penetration of Raymor's C-SWNT products in different applications."

Raymor will offer three grades of C-SWNT: Purified Grade, Pre-Purified Grade, and As-Produced Grade. The Purified Grade is a high quality SWNT product with excellent graphitization, an average length of 5 microns, and a very low metal (less than 1.1 atomic %) and amorphous carbon content. The Pre-Purified Grade is also a high quality SWNT product with similar characteristics as the Purified Grade, but with a slightly higher metal (1.1-3.7 atomic %) and amorphous carbon content. For Raymor's As-Produced Grade, which has already been available for Raymor's aerospace customers, the metal content will be in the range of 3.7 to 6.7 atomic %.

These different grades will be used to more selectively target different applications and to offer the best performance for aerospace, aeronautical, electrochemical, biomedical, defense and electronic applications. Different applications and the appropriate grades of Raymor C-SWNT are summarized below:

Nanocomposite Enhancement Grades: Purified,
 (ex. Conductive Polymers) Pre-Purified, As-Produced
Batteries/Electrodes Grades: Purified,
                                            Pre-Purified, As-Produced
Supercapacitors Grades: Purified,
                                            Pre-Purified, As-Produced
Filters Grades: Purified, Pre-Purified
Electromagnetic
Interference (EMI) Shielding: Grades: Purified, Pre-Purified
Catalyst Support Grades: Purified, Pre-Purified
Field Emission Devices Grades: Purified
Sensors & Probes Grades: Purified
Biomedical Devices and Materials: Grades: Purified
Nanoelectronic Devices Grades: Purified
